Sleepless in Kuala Lumpur

This weekend I went with the guys in my cell group(Me, edmund, Josh, Eugene, Alvin and Jon) to KL to spend the weekend.

On sunday morning, we took 170 to Larkin the Johor Bahru bus terminal to take a coach up to KL. Actually, i was quite worried that we wouldnt be able to get a coach cause we did not book and now being the sch holidays, so we were just gg there to try our luck. When we got down frm 170, the pple from the coach businesses there were already fighting for customers and so immediately we bought 6 seats to KL. Not bad, very spacious and comfortable and that cost 25RM. So Joshua was saying that it is almost the same price if he take cab in Spore from his house to his gf place and i remembered that it would cost me the same price to take cab frm my place to Sembawang camp. Not sure abt the how much it would have cost if we took the Grassland Express(Cao Yuan Kuai Ce) frm Spore. Shud be more ex...

This foto taken in the coach cause i couldnt sleep. Looks like Mr Alvin couldnt sleep either, wonder why... Anyway couldnt sleep cause i was holding my bladder, the only bad thing abt the bus ride was that it didnt have a toilet...

The other reason why i couldnt sleep was also because of this(the photo above). There was this Indian guy(Ah-Na) sitting infront of me who lowered his chair so much so that i could smell his hair...Oh, the agony of having to sleep while smelling that, lovely... Sorry not being racist here, but i dun know what these pple like to put on their hair so it produces a kind of thick musty smell.Hope its not becos of religion, otherwise i'll feel bad for saying all this. So I had to push the air-con duct away from the direction of his hair so that i could breathe normally again. Then i had to adjust the angle of the way i slept so that the i wouldnt be able to smell it. After the bus trip i was tempted to buy a bottle of Pantene shampoo for him... Posted by Hello
So in the afternoon we reached KL Sentral(Central) and checked into the hostel. Paid 20Rm for the one night stay. The hostel is actually just a house but the rooms are rented out and shares a common toilet and living room. Thats where we met Annuar, the owner of the hostel. Annuar has a helper who helps him run the place, didnt get his name but he was quite well built and very soft spoken. When Annuar called him, he would reply "Saya...?" in a very za bo way. So we suspected he and Annuar were homosexual. Later, i saw Annuar's helper surfing www.gay.com at the computer in the living room. Interesting...

Later, we went out along the streets to have lunch. An Indian guy set up a table for us to sit outside 7-11. So 4 of the guys ordered Maggi Goreng and jonathan and me ordered Ayam Nasi goreng. Halfway through the meal, I tried to see wat was above us. Then i saw that Jonathan(the guy in blue) was actually sitting under some laundry which included a full set of women's lingerie. I'm not lying, Check out the photo if u dun believe me....Think it wasnt dripping... otherwise it would explain why the Ayam Nasi goreng tasted abit salty.

In the afternoon we visited Chinatown and walked ard the place... The stalls there were all selling the same stuff, fake addidas shoes, LV wallets, pirated dvds and quiksilver clothes. For dinner, we had hokkien mee and seafood at a stall which was setup outside a Hong Leong bank.
The business there was so good that we had to order the food 1hour in advance and come back later to get seats. I didnt expect the Hokkien Mee to be black and thick noodles. I guess it was the Malaysian version of Hokkien Mee... The food was great and cheaper than what a Macdonald extra value meal would cost in Spore for each person(Comparing prices again...). Look at how happy the guys are...satisfied customers... Posted by Hello
Later in evening while we were back at the hostel, we spoke to Annuar,

Us: "Hey Bro, can u tell us where the happening clubs are in KL?"

Annuar: Sure... No problem. U go down the road, turn right, follow the monorail at the junction and then u turn right again. There u will find the a stretch of clubs. The most popular club is Beach Club. Many pple go there"

Us: "Thks bro."

Annuar: "No problem... Just make sure the gers u meet there are not she males... "

Us: "Ok Annuar, thks again!"

And so we went to Beach Club, the most popular club according to Annuar. Paid 200Rm for to open a Jim Beam. From outside, the club looked quite happening for a sunday night. We thought the place would be dead cause it was a sunday night after all. When we got in, i felt as if we were in a club in Manila. The place was full of angmoh men and filipino women. The music frm the live band was absoultely horrible(sounded like a spoilt country music CD). The night only got better when the band stopped playing and the DJ started playing some RnB. So we went to the dance floor while Jon watched 3 Italian Serie A soccer matches. At the dancefloor, we saw many guys looking at us... Wondered why... wierd... There was an Indian guy(another indian) dancing on the table, think Josh overheard the DJ saying this abt the guy,"Is that dancing or swimming?"

At 1 plus we decided to leave the place while two of us frm the grp decided to stay on... One of them decided to make some friends there. He met a woman but later found out that the woman was A Thai hooker. He got rejected anyway. Cant say who that person is ... ok here's a clue. His name is named after a famous book. Make a guess now?

The next morning we woke up at ard 10+. Think no one had a hangover frm last nite. Jon and joshua stayed up the previous night to watch Dvd(alien vs predator) in Annuar's living room while the rest of us went to sleep. Look at Alvin in the first pic, wonder why he and edmund were smiling at each other early in the morning...
We played cards for awhile before checking out at 12. Looking at the room, reminds me of my bunk in the Navy. Double beds which are squeaky and a grp of guys somemore... At least there was air-con, no mosquitoes, no sergent and no area cleaning... Posted by Hello

In the afternoon we finally had the KTV session which we had planned on gg for weeks. We went to Red Box(the malaysian version of Kbox), everything abt the redbox is the same as Kbox. Wonder who actually started the original concept.... The price was as expected cheap, costs only 7RM to sing frm 3-6pm for students. The person at the counter wanted to see our student ids but eugene didnt have so he used his Chevrons card. Apparently, the woman didnt know that the Chevrons is not a sch but a chalet for NSman.

Later we headed back to the hostel to get our bags. Annuar was not ard and so we spoke to his helper,

Annuar's friend: "So u all enjoyed urself last nite at the club?"

Us:"Eh... Not really, the Beach Club was full of AngMoh men and filipino women who look more like hookers..."

Annuar's friend:"You guys went to Beach Club? That club is for AngMoh men who wanna pick up Filipino prostitudes... Not for young pple. The club for young pple is called Bliss Club. Many young and pretty chinese gers there. So who told u abt Beach Club?"

Us:"Annuar!!"

And so we left the hostel, realising that we had actually been to Orchard Tower instead of gg to Zouk or ChinaBlack. Damn...

So we took a train back to Spore after dinner. Horribly cold, uncomfortable seats and with bad braking system would describe the train ride. And there was an Indian couple seating infront of me again.(Damn, really cant enough of them. Fated to bump into them) At least the woman's hair wasn't smelly(or at least i couldnt smell it) but later during the train ride she snored very loudly.... Anyway reached home the nxt morning and slept till 4. Poor jonathan still had to go with his students to the debate at NUS. Anyway enjoyed myself for the two days...

200 bucks a mth to prevent cancer. Is is worth it?

Yesterday, i went out with my friend for lunch at Lot1. We have known each other for abt 2yrs cause we only knew each other during NS.
So during our conversation he was telling me abt how he spends 100bucks a mth on this product which is supposed to prevent cancer. He was also trying to convince me to join his MLM(multi -level marketing) business which sells this product.

This is wat it says frm the website-Combined with your body's own defense systems, it has 40 powerful antioxidants and also promote total cell defense - giving you the benefit of maximum protection. Retail price per pack is 200+ bucks.

Researchers frm this company assert that anitoxidants(the gd guys) will neutralise free radicals(the bad guys) in our bodies by giving them a free electron.(I'm not too sure abt the science of this, but its along these lines) The free radicals are supposed to be harmful compounds which cause cells in the body to deform which eventually leads to aging and cancer for more severe cases. We are exposed to free radicals everyday, eg. smoke, sunlight. So by taking the product, the amt of antioxidant in our body will increase and hence neutralise the free radicals in our body. Of course, antioxidants are also found in natural sources like fruits and vegetables...

Well the company of this product has also developed a machine specially designed to measure the amt of antioxidants in ur body.
The range of antioxidants in ur body is btw 10000 and 50000. The last time my friend had let me take the test, my level of antioxidant was less than 10000(Way out of the normal range). The woman doing the test for me gave me a wierd look and asked me whether i drink and smoke alot. She must have been shocked by my score i think....

I feel that spending 100 bucks to prevent cancer a mth is abit too expensive. 100 bucks a mth is 1200bucks a yr... And that is only if u sign up as member. And there is no guarantee that u will not get cancer. What if u spend so much money on the supplement but yet u still get cancer in the end... That's my argument. Surely there are pple who smoke and drink all their lives but yet still not get cancer, whereas there are those who don't that also get struck with the disease at a age of 30+. My theory(In Hokkien) is,' A Dio Jiu Si A dio'(will get means will get). Its just like 4D, Toto and lottery. Just like how the Bangla who bought big sweep and won 1million Sing dollars. How many sporeans can ever earn 1million dollars in their life time? We can never predict wat will happen in our lives...

CCk Park Is a Dangerous Place at Night

Good afternoon, its a holiday today but it doesnt feel like one cause I've lost track of time.

Ya anyway, i was jogging at Choa Chu Kang park on Sat nite when i nearly witnessed a theft.
At abt 8pm on sat, i decided to go to the fitness corner rest after jogging for awhile. There was a shelter hut(u know those kind where couples can hanky panky those kind) near the fitness corner. At that time there was a couple kissing in the shelter and they put their belongings on one of the benches opposite them. The park was quite dark and was almost deserted.
Awhile later, a Bangla(those kind of construction worker type) cycled past the hut and when he saw what the couple was doing in the hut he slowed down at parked his bike near a tree.
All along i was there watching him and i think he knew i was watching him. So while the couple continued to hanky panky at one side of the hut, the Bangla slowly creeped up to the side of the hut where they put their belongings. He watched the couple from there awhile and i could see he was ready to grab the bag on the bench. The couple couldnt see him cause i think his skin colour blended very well with the dark environment.

Fortunately, the couple caught a glimpse of him and immediately took their belongings away. Had they been a second slower and i think the Bangla would have grabbed their stuff and rode off with his bike. The Bangla then pretended to walk away as if nothing happened... The couple also carried on their hanky panky.

i can only say that cck park can be quite dangerous at nite... there were two seperate cases of robbery and molest there last yr. The molestor asked young girls to assist him in doing sit ups. Then he touched them.... Crazy guy. Last time my friend was there doing pull ups at nite when a crazy guy ran out from the bushes with a wooden pole and wanted to whack my friend. Lucky my friend ran away in time...

So after lunch yesterday, i met my jc friends weiting, peiping, susian, edward and spiceboy for dinner. Went to Marina Square food court for dinner... Bo bian, budget abit.

This photo taken on New Yrs Eve... ha time flies. next mth im going to ord! haha.
Anyway it's been awhile since we met each other. So we went to peninsuala plaza, city link, suntec and marina sq to buy a present. Legs were bloody tired after that, but the gers seemed fine... Always the case... Their endurance when they go shopping always better than guys. ha..

Tian tian chicken rice.

Hello, went to tanjong pagar today with my friend Tcy... Went to the Maxwell market for lunch. Thats where i decided to park my car near one of the hotel ard there. Couldnt rem which hotel is was...

Thats where i caught 2 ang mohs checking out my car. Wonder why they were staring at my car?
Maybe they were worried that i didnt put a coupon and that a parking attendant was nearby, cant find any other reason why they would be staring at my Lamborghini... ha.
Well, in case u realli believed i owned that... Maybe my parents would have to sell our house to have the money to buy that car... Only seen one Lambo in Spore so far, that was at orchard...

Anyway when we were at Maxwell market we saw alot of pple buying chicken rice frm 'Tian Tian Ji Fan'. The stall is along the stretch nearer the carpark. Wanted to buy frm that stall but the queue was too long... Even at 2.30pm which was after lunchtime, the queue wasnt any shorter. My friend then bought 4 packets of chicken rice... He told me that the chicken had almost run out. The business must be damn good...
If ure gg there, u shud try the chicken rice. Rem to take the chilli cause its supposed to be real nice.

Violent sia....

Poof!!! There goes another day of my block leave... Abt a mth of leave left. Not bad, still can slack.
Well went to PS to watch House of Wax with tcy and his friend alex.

Not bad, nice show... Quite violent though.
The story is actually abt this grp of teenagers who stumbled upon a town made totally of wax.
The town was actually built by 2 twin brothers who kills anyone who enters their town and pours liquid wax on their victims while they are still alive.( Sorry if i spoilt the show for anyone who's intending to watch the show). They snip off the nerves of some of their victims to immobilise them and then use wax to freeze them.
Well if u dont like violent shows at least there is one reason to watch it...

Well, at least watching her should be a gd reason to watch this show. But she dies in the end...
Miss Hilton who is also the granddaughter on Conrad Hilton, the founder of the Hilton Hotels who's property is estimated to be worth 300million.
Damn so rich and pretty, maybe this world is really unfair after all ha....
Wonder wat she'll do with all that money when she inheriets all that wealth....

After watching the show, we went for dinner at the foodcourt at PS. Then my friend told me that there's this ger who works at the 2nd floor shop who looks like Yang Chen Ling(The co-host of Guess guess guess). Actually i was skeptical, then we decided to walk past the shop to take a look. The shop is a shop selling toys, near the asics shop and near the Thai restaurant. Well my friend was right cause the ger(the cashier) realli looks like Yang Chen Ling, somemore she got a mole on the right side of her face just below her eye. Couldnt believe my eyes haha... Interesting...

To be Frank or not???

Have u ever been pissed off by a comment or action made by ur friend but restrained yourself frm getting angry infront of him or her to protect your friendship?? U swallow ur anger, but unknowingly u start to bear a grudge against ur friend....
Do pple do things that piss you off but yet u control your anger because u dun wanna kick up a fuss esp in public.
Later on, the thing repeats itself and u keep bottling up ur emotions until finally u explode... Damn, maybe u shud have told ur friend or the person how u felt instead of bottling ur feelings....
The question is,
Is it better that we let the person/friend know abt our unhappiness and anger the moment he/she hurts us? Or is it better to practice patience and tell the person how we feel when we realli get pissed off. Which one is more effective in stopping our friends frm hurting us but yet we can remain tactful....
If u tell ur friend how u feel, ur friend may or may not respect ur view. Some pple will heed ur advice and stop doing or saying things that hurt u. However, there will always be the other type of pple who pay no attention abt ur feelings and continue doing as they pls. Maybe now u know that this particular person is not worthy to be a friend.
Looking at this frm a Christian perspective, let me look at what the bible says abt dealing with this:
Matthew 5:38-39:''You have heard that it was said, Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth. But I tell you. Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes u on the right cheek, turn to him the other also."
Those words were from the Sermon on the mount which Jesus preached 2000 yrs ago in Galilee.
A normal human being would never be able to turn the other cheek for the person to stike. That is just not humanly possible... It goes against our human nature....
To sum up, God's standards are much higher than ours and we cannot use human understanding to comprehend how we can 'turn the other cheek'.

Sat afternoon

This was how my cell grp spent our sat afternoon... sitting infront of the tv and watching dvd.
Actually, the guys played tennis frm 3-5 while the gers went swimming. After that we proceeded to cut cake cause it was edmund's and hweecheng's bday this mth.
We decided to watch 'Team America' which is a damn funny and crude show.... Heard it was also produced by the same pple who produced Southpark... i give it 7/10. Think its not shown in Spore because of its content....Posted by Hello

KoKo crunch!!!

hello back from orchard where i spent the whole afternoon after gg to K box from 11 to 2+.
Went there with clarence, meng kiat and apple.
Not bad, pay $7.50 for a black pepper chicken meal and a drink plus u get to sing for 3 hrs plus. Cheaper than gg to catch a movie and u get to sing ur heart out. Just realised that Jay Chou is bloody good singer and then had his vocals are fantastic.
I know, i took quite long to realise that....

this guy's songs are bloody hard to sing and i think the four of us sounded more like crows when we tried to reach some of the high parts in songs like AN HAO, JIE KOU and GE QIAN.
But u gt to admit this guy's got some talent...
Ya so then i met my friend Tan Chong You(aka TCY) in the evening at Lot1.
So we were discussing whether to stay in hall when we go to NTU.
Really happy for TCY cause he made it to NTU despite coming frm em3 in
pri school. He then went to Normal technical stream in Sec sch, ITE for 2 yrs and then Poly for another 3 yrs. Now he's gg to NTU... Wow, sth to be proud of.... He's the only person i know that made it despite being in Normal Tech last time.
Remember the time where this stupid ger from express stream laughed at him for being in Normal Tech. Stupid bitch, so childish...... Now he's gg Uni, next time dont judge pple for being slower than u....(ha, i'm judging her now, how ironic)
So TCY was telling me abt his friend's experience in the hall. Quite funny, he said that the pple there always go for supper. One night his friend was studying at nite in e hall when the sound of the 'door car open' sound beeped. So he assumed must be pple gg for supper again...
So he heard the grp of gers saying:
"Let's go for supper, Swensen's ok??? I dun know why pple go to hawker centre??"
His friend immediately looked outside his room, saw this gers wearing a RJC T-shirt(U know the white one with the big green word RAFFLES printed behind). Then he concluded that these gers are damn bloody loaded la... Pple frm this schs usually bloody loaded rite...
Knn, hawker centre very Low class meh???
Wat a joke.... Sorry nothing against rich pple and RJC students ar.... So coincidental only.
His friend also mentioned to that there's this particular guy who likes to wear his HWA CHONG t-shirt ard the campus and hall. His friend assumed this guy just likes to show off that he's frm a gd sch and wants everyone to know he's frm that sch.
Well i think he probably has only one t-shirt in his whole cupboard...
Or maybe he really loves his sch alot... Give him the benefit of doubt la...
From my experience,I have noticed that pple from these gd schools like those mentioned above
give others an impression that they are rich and stuck up.
Is it true? if so why?? inferiority complex??? Or maybe they realli look stuck up(esp u see on trains and buses) Or is it just a sch culture to look 'dao'.... Some of my friends from there are really down to earth though... only found out after talking to them and knowing them better...
Anyway, as i was walking home i stepped on a snail. Poor snail... Crushed it to death...
Guess wat??It became KOKO crunch!!!

China Pple. Friend or foe?

Hello just came back from city hall where i met my jc friends for dinner. As usual its only the 4 of us(Me, qirong, Zhaocheng and Benjamin) cause we couldnt contact the rests. We went to Fish and Co for makan and after that walked to Pacific Coffee at citylink to la kopi.
I bought the ice hazelnut latte which costs $5.25 a cup. Not very nice, damn bitter and tasted like milk.
Give that drink a miss the next time u go there. Then we sat at the couch there to slack and of course to admire pple walking pass us.
Sorry guys, couldnt find a better photo to put u all in!
Not bad while we were leaving suntec i saw JOANNE PEH with of course her bf.
Not bad, quite pretty but abit too much make up. I think some gers shouldnt make up too much la, makes them look old. Should look young while u still can, no need to rush to look matured. natural better haha......
Ya. anyway Joanne Peh looks better on tv and in 8 days...
Sth abt her when she smiles la...

Anyway someone commented that my website is all abt Army(navy) stuff.
Ok, i promise no more army stuff anymore k? ya rite....(still got all my complains)

So just now we were discussing over dinner abt how some pple despise pple frm China. Especially for those China pple in the university, we Sporean students poke fun at their dressing, looks, the way they speak and their studies.

I have noticed that there is a common stigma to China pple as being very studious, hardworking and eroding competition in certain courses in the U. Well, i havent realli experienced that but probably i will when i go to NTU engineering shortly this yr.
I personally have felt that these China pple are competing with us Sporeans and therefore making life harder for us.

But maybe that is a too narrow minded perspective, if competition from foreigners can drive us to progress i believe that there is some gd behind it.
Perhaps its time for me to thank these Mainland Chinese for showing me the importance of dilligence and not cast a judgement on them that they are 'spoiling market'. Where they came from probably made them the way they are right now. In China, probably everyone competes to survive. U dont keep up, u get eliminated.

Now imagine that we chinese in Spore already have these negative sentiments against pple from China(pple of our own race). I cant help but remind myself abt the many Sporeans who go to countries like Australia and US to study. Perhaps how the locals feel abt Asians there is the same as what we feel abt China pple. Asians who go overseas to study or work are more hardworking, dilligent and probably smarter than the locals there.

From my experience, Racism rears its ugly head esp in Australia . The last time i went on tour there, the ang moh's pelted a grp of Sporeans with eggs while they walking in the street at nite. That was in Melbourne. Perhaps those students there could tell me more? I felt damn du lan when i heard abt this, but looking at the situation in Spore and how we view China pple, maybe racism against Asians there is somewat explainable...

Last Day at NDU

Good day ha... Really happy today cause its my last day in Ndu. Finally i completed my two yrs of service to the country and managed to clear all the stores and medical checkups. This means i wont be gg back to the unit anytime soon till i collect my IC on the 16th of next mth.
Looking back at my NS life, i remember how we used to suffer as trainees to pass out as a diver... foound this photo...
This photo reminds me of the days back in Dive school where we suffered under Master Sergeant Frankie Chong(A US Navy Seal). Here, we are trying to pass one of the obstacle courses that requires some stamina and a bit of endurance la... I wont say that we're really gd cause most batches of divers b4 us suffered worst under this guy.
We're the 21st batch of divers so u can imagine how many other grps of guys went through hell with this guy. Anyway gg out now to have dinner with my jc friends to celebrate, see yea.

Sibei DU LAN

Good evening.... Right now, thinking about settling the stores back in unit tmr with the storeman who is aka 'Ang Kong Lim' makes me wanna whack him like the photo above...
The guy squatting in the photo is actually my buddy Loy Xing Zhe. Sorry bro, couldnt find a better pic for u to be in... Anyway this is punishment for u touching pple's chests all the time ahahaha...Posted by Hello
today i went to church in the morning where we celebrated mother's day. They gave out presents and made the youth members distribute the presents while i stayed in my seat and watched the rest of the youth members run frantically to their mums. Someone asked me why i didnt bother to std up and pass a gift to a mother, well i didnt help out cause i didnt see the need to la...
To me if u love ur mum enuff, everyday shud be mother's day. Rite mum?

The sermon was abt how husbands and wives shud respect each other. This taken from the book of 1Peter Chap 3 verse 1-7.
Let me quote verse 7:
"Husbands, in the same way be considerate as u live with your wives and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers". 1Peter 3-7 .

Well apparently the verse touched the hearts of some men in the congregation and they came down for prayer after the sermon. (One old guy cried bitterly, that was quite a sight to see a man cry)
How true the verse is.... Husband who dont respect their wives often make their wife and family suffer.

Now i need a verse from the bible that teaches me to deal with pple who try to cheat me of my money and who make my life difficult. Stupid storeman(Ang Kong Lim)!!!

So after church we went to edmund's house to play mahjong. Me, eugene, hwee cheng, Ling and Edmund at his house at Yew Tee. Edmund is the guy on the right in the photo. (he looks happy here doesnt he?) This one taken at Changi Airport b4 he went Sweden for exchange.
Fortunately for Edmund, luck was on his side today and he won most of the games.
I even threw a winning card for him and had to pay for everybody cause his 'tai' was full(yi se).
Lucky we were not playing money... Too bad for Edmund ha...

Commanding RESPECT, Respecting command.

Have u always thought of officers as GARANG?
Do the SAF ADs on MRTs and buses give u an impression that her soldiers are fit and ready 4 war??? Let me enlighten u abit...

THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE REAL UGLY
For my past 2 yrs and 2 mths of my NS life, i've seen part of the good, the bad and the ugly side of the officers and specialists on the SAF. The above pic is a naval diver... Looks garang right....
However, similar to every organisation, NDU has its fair share of black sheep and alarmingly unfit regular servicemen. These are the pple who NSFs and their fellow regulars despise and show little respect.
Some of them show these characteristics(frm my experience):

(1)Firstly, they do not respect the integrity of the pple who they are suppose to be in charge of.(Mostly NSFs )

(2)Secondly, they expect servicemen of lower rank to recognise them for their rank when they come into camp in their civilian clothes.

For eg, there was one time while doing guard duty, my friend did not salute a Captain(only a small fry) because he did not recognise his face and because he was in his car and also not in his uniform. The captain went to park his car in the carpark and then came back to the guardroom to give my friend a gd lecture.

I quote his exact words(not exaggerated):

Captain ****** :"Do u know i am an officer?(he pronounced Oaficer) How long have u been in this camp?"

CPL(My friend) ***:"Not sure Sir, neva seen u ard sir. I've been here 2yrs"

Captain ******: "U dun know i am an officer??? Ok, make sure everybody in the guardroom knows i am an officer!!!"(Pts to the guardroom at the same time). He then walks away...

Come on la... Anyone can be an officer in e SAF la... Just get a diploma and then go thru a 9mth OCS course. U shud set an example to ur men.
Your behaviour turns pple off. What has all ur training taught u? There's no need to be so proud... If u want pple to greet u, wear uniform and book in la next time. Everyone will be able to see ur rank this way... Common sense right...

(3)Thirdly, the third kind of blacksheep are those who are alarmingly unfit and have problems passing their IPPT(individual physical proficiency test) for years.
.
It is a wonder why the SAF retains pple like them. All the TAXPAYER's (me and u included) money goes into paying their salaries. They run like as if they were having a heart attack and they still call themselves SPECIAL FORCES. Maybe they were fit once, but not anymore.
These pple shud go, leave the SAF pls. I feel cheated of my money now...
If war does breakout and i go to war with them, I'll shoot them first.

I'm not saying every officer or regular is like that.
But there are among them a FEW who are....

NDU storeman and his Black Market.

Just back frm changi naval base where i saw the guys on guard duty wearing their SBOs(skeleton battle sth). As u can can see here in the photo, my land phase instructor 1SG Chai who coincidentally won a wits project award today for his GPMG stand project, walking behind a few of my platoon guys during our training. Fortunately, i neva wore an SBO for my guard duties cause we only carry a pistol.
On the topic of SBOs, YY Song reminded me today that the gunners in GA need to return the SBO we signed out for Exercise Truewave last yr... I dun know where e hell i put that SBO.

The bloody storeman 2Sgt Lim aka 'Ang Kong Lim' because of his disgusting tatoos, is in charge of all the stores we need to return b4 we Ord.

This guy sells his equipment to Naval Divers(who have missing equipment which they are required to return to the Logistics) at a cheaper price, otherwise they would have to write a statement and then sign a 1206(a form which deducts money frm ur bank acct to purchase ur missing equipment).
So for eg if u lose a SAF poncho and u want to sign 1206 for it, u'll pay close to $40 for its original costs. But Ah Lim will claim to help u and sell it to u at $20 and pocket it.
What an entrepeurner... The govt would hope for more S'poreans like him.
Sounds like a Gd deal??? Wonder where the hell he gets all these extra equipment.

Looks like he's been 'earning' or pocketing quite a sum of money from all these yrs and there's nothing anyone can do abt it. One person can pay a range of $20 to $100 for him to help replace our missing equipment. And there's almost 60 pple in my platoon. Think abt the money he makes.... Makes me wonder how come all our HP nuts frm our diving regulators ended up missing????

Do u think its right for someone to earn money frm u in this despicable way and yet he claims he is trying help u? If only i could expose his wrongdoings by bringing up the matter to Head Logistics in NDU. However this would only create more problems cause supply comes when demand exists.... Damn...

Yucks... Disgusting

Would u use this water bottle issued to u if u knew someone had used this b4 it was passed on to u???
The bottle is two yrs old and has been used during training
.

Well, in the Republic of Spore Navy(RSN), this bottle would have been returned to the store.

However according to the storeman in Ndu(my present unit), the water bottles would be reused which means it would probably be passed on to the next batch of trainees.... Which means some unlucky guy could have ended up using that bottle(which is two yrs old).

Well is the RSN so broke that they have to make every servicemen or women return their equipment when they ORD? And thus compromise the level of hygiene among the soldiers? Even the army with its much vast number of soldiers does not require their soldiers to return these equipment. Returining the small stores like these are time consuming and a waste effort to consolidate.... i see no benefits of saving money is this area.

Mr Lien

Mr Lien: Peacemaker or Traitor?
Recently, there's been a big debate abt Mr Lien's controversial trip to China. Pro independence grps in Taiwan have called him traitor... While others believe that this is a historic move to mend broken ties with China. The pro independence party have filed law suits against Mr Lien upon his arrival back in Taiwan.
What do u think?
I think this man here is helping his country... Why shud e Chinese pple be fighting among themselves when there is a chance for peace. Probably those in Taiwan have a better understanding of the history btw them and the mainland. Or maybe Mr Lien is trying to gain more votes for the futre election.
From a outsider's pt of view, i feel that this man is jus trying make peace btw both sides. Posted by Hello

RSN Pride Day

The photo of the building above is Changi Naval Base. It was recently opened by our very own Prime minister Goh Chok Tong last yr. Tmr i will be gg there for the RSN pride day...
The Naval base is the biggest in Spore and several million of dollars of taxpayers money was spent just to build it.

For some reason, i will have to wear my No.3 uniform(shown above) to the Changi Naval Base(CNB). Heng( The guy next to me in the pic), looks realli happy to know he's gg to CNB in his no.3. Well, i'm not.... U know how damn far the place is? Take Mrt all the way to Tanah Merah station from CCK and then still have to take a shuttle bus in. I'll probably stay there only for like 3 hrs which is the near equivalent of my travelling time to and fro.

Wat a waste of time... Getting into the base is another pain in the ass, with all the bloody security checks. We waited nearly 1hr jus to get into the base previously. Gonna be bloody hot and sticky wearing that uniform and waiting to get in...

Well the officers(captains, majors, colonels and crabs) will probably get to drive in....
